LIBRARY RULES FOR TEACHERS
- Personal belongings and bags should not be carried in the stacking area and should be kept in the place provided for that purpose.
- Books are issued for a maximum period of one month and thereafter may be reissued for another month if there is no Demand for the book.
- Maximum 10 books can be kept in the possession of a Teacher at any given time.
- The books/periodicals should be borrowed from the Library personally and the borrower should sign the issue card/register.
- Two periodicals (Two weeks earlier in case of weeklies and One month earlier issues in case of monthlies) can be borrowed at a time for one week period.
- The books borrowed during the academic year should be returned before 31st March for Annual Stock-taking. No fresh issue of books will be done unless the account is cleared.
- If a book is lost, it should be brought to the notice of the Librarian and should be replaced or the current market cost of the books should be paid immediately. In the case of loss of rare books, photocopy of the book (if available in other library etc..) should be replaced or ten times of the price of the book should be paid.
- If the periodical(s) lost by the borrower, it should be brought to the notice of the Librarian and should replace the same issue(s) or should pay eight times the cost of the issue(s)
- The undersigned reserves the right to charge late fees for such books and periodicals which are not returned after the date of clearing account, if the delay in returning or renewing is found to be unwarranted / unjustified.
- Books which are not returned by the teacher even after the lapse of one full academic year and/or the permitted margin should be deemed lost by the borrower and the replacement charges as per the prevailing market rates shall be collected.
